About Toromint

Who is Toromint?

Toromint is a Toronto-based designer and manufacturer of precious metals collectibles. We specialize in chase box releases and unconventional minted forms — shurikens, scythes, tablets, shields, and other pieces that push past the limits of the traditional minted round.

Where are Toromint products made?

Toromint is headquartered in Toronto, Canada. All design, quality control, and final inspection are handled by Toromint.

Buying Toromint

How do I buy a Toromint piece?

Toromint sells exclusively through authorized retail and wholesale partners. We do not sell direct to consumers. See our Where to Buy page for current authorized dealers, or email inquiries@toromint.com and we’ll point you toward the nearest partner.

Why doesn’t Toromint sell direct?

By staying focused on design and manufacturing, we let our authorized partners do what they do best — serving collectors with the expertise, logistics, and customer relationships that fine collectibles deserve. It’s a deliberate choice and it’s how we keep the work itself at the highest standard.

Can I become an authorized Toromint dealer?

Yes. Established retailers, wholesalers, and bullion dealers can apply through our Where to Buy page or by emailing inquiries@toromint.com with company details, market, and current product offerings.

Chase / Blind Boxes

What is a chase box?

A chase box is a sealed product where the specific variant inside is unknown until the box is opened. Each Toromint chase release contains a defined mintage across multiple tiers — for example, a copper base, a silver-gilded version, and a rare gold-gilded or pure gold chase. The thrill is in the reveal.

Are the odds published?

Yes. Every chase release has published odds and mintages listed on the Chase Box Products page. Nothing is hidden.

Can I tell if a chase box has been opened?

Yes. Every box ships with a holographic security seal engineered to break under pressure or any attempt at removal. A sealed Toromint box has never been opened. Once that seal is broken, it cannot be restored.

Does each piece come with a Certificate of Authenticity?

The chase box itself serves as the Certificate of Authenticity. It documents the full mintage breakdown, metal composition of each variant, odds, release year, and MSRP. There’s no separate paper certificate to lose or forge.

Returns, Shipping & Reorders

What is Toromint’s return policy on chase products?

Toromint does not accept returns on chase products. Each chase release is part of a predetermined, finite set that cannot be replaced or reproduced — once a piece is allocated, it’s gone. Our authorized dealers may have their own return policies for unopened, sealed boxes; please consult your dealer directly.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Toromint ships to authorized dealer partners worldwide. Specific shipping terms, timelines, and customs handling are arranged on a per-partner basis.

Do you do reorders or restrikes after a release sells through?

No. When a Toromint chase release is sold through, it’s done. We do not run second editions, restrikes, or surprise additional batches under the same release name. The published mintage is the final mintage.

Custom & Commission Work

Does Toromint take custom commissions?

Yes — on a strictly B2B basis. Established retail and wholesale partners can commission custom work, including private-label releases. All commissions undergo a rigorous approval process to ensure the piece meets Toromint’s quality standards and aligns with Toromint’s design and brand identity.

We are deliberately selective about commission work. If your project is a fit, we’ll know quickly. If it isn’t, we’ll be straightforward about that too.

Materials & Authenticity

What metals does Toromint use?

999 fine gold, silver, platinum, and copper, sourced from accredited suppliers committed to responsible extraction and refining standards.

How is quality controlled?

Every Toromint piece is inspected individually — not by batch — for weight, purity, finish, strike quality, and packaging integrity before it ships.

Is Toromint a Whatnot-listed manufacturer?

Yes. Toromint is listed on Whatnot’s Identified Product List for Professionally Sealed Surprise Products in the Collectible Coins & Bullion category. Our listing is provisional pending completion of an independent third-party audit of our manufacturing processes — a standard step in Whatnot’s review pathway. You can view Whatnot’s full policy and current manufacturer list here.
